According to him, Chinese companies intend to invest the joint projects in the field of laser technology, microelectronics and biotechnology. "At present the sides are considering opportunities of setting up the joint Belarusian-Chinese technological park in Henan and joint productions to produce industrial goods in Belarus," he added. Many of the Henan corporations showed their interest in cooperation with Belarusian specialists, Yuri Alekseev said.
According to Yuri Alekseev, the technological park Metolit of the Belarusian National Technical University and the Qilin Institute of Optics plan to set up a joint venture to produce equipment for abrasive polishing of metal articles. In particular, Belarusian scientists may propose the up-to-date systems to polish articles made of stainless and carbon steel and aluminum, other devices to Chinese companies. "In the near future we will identify the concrete terms and conditions of the project," he said.
A reminder, on March 21 a workshop-presentation of sci-tech parks and innovation zones of the Chinese province of Henan is being held in the technological park Metolit of the Belarusian National Technical University. The aim of the workshop is to strengthen the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation in setting up the innovation infrastructure. During the session Chinese specialists will tell about the peculiarities of setting up technological parks and innovation centres in the PRC, discuss opportunities to expand the cooperation with Belarusian researchers in various fields of science.
The technological park Metolit of the Belarusian National Technical University was founded in 1992. The industrial cluster develops, assimilates and batch produces new technologies, materials and equipment. Metolit also aids small innovation companies promoting their products.
