Results of EurasiaBio-2008
The First International EurasiaBIO Congress was held on April 24-25, 2008 at the International Trade Center, Moscows, Russia. The main topics of the Congress highlighted current state and prospects of biotechnology in various fields: Bioindustry, Biomaterials and Bioplastics, Bioenergy and Biofuels, Biomass Production and Processing, Food And Agriculture Biotechnology, Biotechnology Applications In Livestock Development, Pharmaceutical and Medical Biotechnology.
The event was hosted by the Russian Bioltechnology Society named after Yu.A. Ovchynnikov and the Russian National Biofuel Association. The EurasiaBIO Congress was supported by the State Duma of the RF, the European Federation of Biotechnology and the European Commission Research DG.
Over 180 companies and more than 380 representatives of 25 countries took part at ‘EurasiaBio-2008': Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, China, India, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, England, Spain, Finland, Sweden, Serbia, Bulgaria, USA, etc. Delegations from 32 regions of the Russian Federation were presented.
